Adwoa Badoe was born and educated in Ghana; she now lives in Canada. The beautiful illustrations are by Baba Wagué Diakité, an artist from Mali (we've read several of his books for Anansi Book Club!). Here is his depiction of Ananse choosing one of the magic woman's pots. Anansi is being greedy, of course, and he chooses the biggest pot!
