In today's post, I'm going to review the books of his that I've featured in earlier blog posts, along with adding one new book for which Pinkney did the illustrations: Tales from Africa by Lila Green.

All these books are just a click away at Internet Archive, so take a few minutes if you can, pick a book, read a story, and enjoy the beautiful ways in which Pinkney brings the story to new life with his art. Plus you can find many more books by Pinkney there; these are just his African folklore books. For example, I can highly (HIGHLY) recommend his illustrations for Julius Lester's version of the Brer Rabbit stories: the best versions of the stories, and the best illustrations too!
